Jim has been painting and exhibiting since graduating from Kingston University in 1984 and recently moved to Worcester having been based in London and Surrey.
Over the years he has worked mainly on the development of his painting process, but also worked on sculpture and writing.

Describing his subject matter Jim says “ A lot of my work is focused on London, the energy and dynamism of the city is the most exciting landscape you could hope for. I try to capture the rhythm and intensity that I experience, and that often means methodically eliminating detail to get to the essence of a scene.” He is now also exploring subject matter inspired by his move to Worcestershire.
